Let's Reflect

GINA K. DESIGNS | JANUARY 2020 

This month's challenge is called "Let's Reflect."  The challenge is to take a card from last year and create a do-over, an update, or make adjustments to it.  I chose a card I made last February with the Rina K Mandala Maker stamp set.  There are so many elements to chose from and an infinite way to be creative with this set. This time I decided to stamp the mandala with black ink and color it with Copic markers.

Happy Sparkle for A Blog Named Hero

Happy New Year!

Figured as long as I had the glitter out I would make another card for the current challenge at A Blog Named Hero.  Mixing color into texture paste is pretty easy and a fun way to added dimension to a card.  I added Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, and Barn Door distress inks to texture paste and put it on the Hero Arts Rain Dance Stencil.  I used the  Hero Arts Happy Stamp and Cut set to add the sentiment.  The frame border is Memory Box Double Stitch rectangle frames.  As always happens with cards that have sparkle, they are prettier in real life and it's hard to get a good photo.
