Here is my card for the current MFT Color Challenge that can be found here.
I loved using the primary colors with the Lemon Chiffon thrown in. I just got the Tweet Wishes stamp set and the owl was so fun to color. I used the MFT Stepped up Chevron die and cut it in each of the colors. MFT card challenges give plenty of inspiration.
I can't seem to stop making cards for challenges. This one is for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 351, which can be found here.
MFT challenges have great inspiration. I used the English Brick Wall stencil and MFT Kraft Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots paper to make the background. Not a lot of stamping on this card. I did, however, use several Die-namics to create this it.
Here's another card for the "Emboss Like a Boss" Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #80 going on until September 28, 9:00 am EDT.
It is hard to tell, but I stamped the panda with black pigment ink and embossed using clear powder. The effect is nice and shiny in real life, just hard to see in a photo. I also dry embossed the Diamond Circles stencil and then inked the background using Candied Apple, Spiced Marmalade, and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide inks. They do blend beautifully. Challenges are always fun because of all the great inspiration.
Products I used:
SSS Cuddly Critters
SSS Diamond Circles stencil
SSS Thanks die
SSS Frames die
SSS Large Holiday Shapes die
Simon Says Stamp has a bimonthly contest on Flickr and here is my entry for SSS Flickr Challenge #80. The challenge can be found here.
This challenge, called "Emboss Like a Boss," is to use embossing on your card: dry embossing, wet embossing, or embossing with impression plates. For this card I chose to wet emboss on vellum and then color the back side using copic markers. I stamped the circles from the SSS Ranunculus Sketch stamp set using white pigment ink and silver pearl embossing powder. For the focal point I added the Thanks die cut on top of a stitched sentiment strip. I like the look of embossing on vellum and coloring on the back.
Here is my last entry for the MFT 2017 Card Design Superstar contest, the details of which can be found here. This card is being entered in the Clean and Simple category.
The card design is pretty straight forward, which is what one wants in a clean and simple design. I think adding categories to this year's contest was a great idea. I have enjoyed the challenge of coming up with three different types of cards. I look forward to seeing the ladies that get chosen as this year's Card Design Superstars.
Here's a card I made for MFT 2017 Card Design Superstar contest. Details about the contest can be foundhere. I am entering this one in the Coloring Virtuoso category.
I used lots of copic markers to color this fun image. It did take a while, but the results were worth it.
Products I used:
MFT Floral Fantasy background stamp
MFT Love Die-namics

My Favorite Things is once again hosting their yearly Card Design Supertar contest. You can get details about the contest here. They have great inspiration for their weekly and bi-monthly contests, and are generous with their prizes. Here is the card I made for the Innovation Master Category. I'm showing it in several pictures because of the steps involved to see everything in the card. I will list my supples I used at the end of this post.
The outside (image above) of the card has a gate card design. The image below shows what is seen when first opened:
Next the recipient would pull the center folds on the black apart and then a third side is revealed:
And here it is flat:
This is a great design for using lots of small images, I die cut a bazillion flowers and leaves for this card. MFT makes great dies and it was easy to crank them out. The card was made using a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of black cardstock and two white strips measuring 2 1/16" x 5 1/2". The strips are woven in through slits that I cut in black cardstock. This was a fun card to make.
Here is a card I made for Simon Says Stamp's latest Flickr Challenge #79 which can be found here. The challenge started the same day as their month long STAMPtember celebration. In honor of that, the theme for this challenge is "Just Stamp It," very appropriate. I decided to challenge myself a bit and used just one stamp set and 2 dies to make my card. I used most all the word stamps to create my background.
